Hannah‘s professional bio / interests
I work with the Oxfordshire Bioregional team, using our sustainability framework One Planet Living, to help organisations across all sectors to become happier, healthier, and greener places to work and play. I'm also part of the team scaling up One Planet Living to the city-region level, working with 4 different cities globally to enact systems and behaviour change. We're delivering a co-created stakeholder sustainability plan (One Planet Action Plan) for Durban, Saanich, Elsinore, and Oxfordshire by drawing together businesses, local authorities, community groups, schools, and more. I am a passionate, knowledgeable and engaging public speaker, having previously delivered workshops to HSBC UK, district councils, and mixed stakeholders for sustainability-focused events. I also co-run low-carbon business network Oxfordshire Greentech working in a myriad of areas: member relations manager, member recruitment, communications and digital marketing, and event planning and logistics. I sit on the Oxford Green Week board, a summer sustainability festival throughout the city, and I am a founding member of the steering group for Build Back Better Oxford/the Oxford Green New Deal hub. Interested in degrowth, climate justice, sustainable food systems, climate communication, and intersectionality in development.
I’d like help with…
Collaborating on mass awareness-raising communications projects that helps the general population swiftly change behaviour to planet-friendly, socially conscious actions. Accessing those in larger organisations and businesses to talk about One Planet Living and how it can transform their business for better. Solidarity in times of climate anxiety and burnout.
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I studied music at the University of Oxford as an undergraduate... but my career did a complete 180 after that!

A career highlight
Reaching 50,000 people with a campaign I ran this year called Switch Up Your Lunch, encouraging organisations around Oxfordshire to go veggie/vegan for one day. Oxford University, the Said Business School, Oxford Brookes, Oxford City and County Councils, numerous schools and businesses got involved, sharing their meals on social media. I was thrilled with what we achieved, despite being thoroughly in lockdown (June 2020).
