Cheryl Eaton
Operations Manager, The Access Project
Cheryl‘s professional bio / interests
I work Tues-Thurs. I've been a member of TAP's Operations Team for over six years... My background is Project Management (for NHS Dr national recruitment), Marketing & Business Development (for professional services firms like Ashurst), and I've just qualified as a Clinical Psychodynamic Psychotherapist after 5 years of study and am working in private practice. I'm a constant student; graduated with an English Literature BA back in the day; I went on to study Complementary Medicine in Sydney for 18 months, have a CM & Holistic Massage Diploma, CIM Marketing PG Diploma, and now a Roehampton Uni PG Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory & Practice, seeing patients on the days I'm not at TAP. I've got a teenage daughter, about to embark on her GCSEs, and am married to a University Lecturer - both of whom keep my hands full! I do like to be busy...
I’d like help with…
anything operations or safeguarding focused - I'm your go-to for all HR, payroll and many other queries - although do try the Wiki first as it's a fountain of knowledge if it's not my work day, or if I'm in a meeting and you need something urgently...
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
Been veggie since I was 14. Was an Auntie by 10 months old, and a Great-Auntie by 21 years - I have 9 nieces and nephews and countless great and great-greats too!
Loved growing up in a high-rise block with my very dysfunctional family (v busy single-mum, two wayward brothers...) Used education as escape and it was the best escape route possible, which is why I love TAP's mission so much.
I live in
GB
A career highlight
Qualified in 2020 to practice as a Clinical Psychodynamic Psychotherapist... on the days I'm not in TAP.
