Richard is the Managing Director of Telford-based renewable energy and battery storage specialists AceOn Energy, part of AceOn Group. AceOn delivers high quality renewable energy generation and storage systems and also our innovative Virtual Power Plant, RENEWERGY. Prior to this, Richard worked in local government for over 30 years. From January 2012, he was the Managing Director and Head of Paid Service for Telford & Wrekin Council. During his time in charge, Richard led the development of only the second local authority commercial solar farm in England and also led the Telford Land Deal – a unique devolution deal with Government to drive and deliver major housing and jobs growth – as well as the major re-development of Telford Town Centre to create Southwater, a new leisure, cultural and visitor destination.
