Heather's professional bio / interests

35 years spent working for GCC in various guises, from local housing offices to homeless team. I then worked for Community Safety ALEO of GCC. Within the the ALEO i was seconded to Strathclyde Poilce VRU (Violence Reduction Unit) i spent 2 amazing years working with like minded professionals dealing with gang violence in Glasgow. Back in Community Safety i managed teams working in the Multi member wards across the city dealing with all aspects of Community Safety. I moved to ASSIST another amazing service dealing with Domestic Abuse and working closely with Police Scotland colleagues. Now i have come full circle and am back to working in Housing this time managing some fantastic people providing grants to allow work to be carried out on common parts of tenemental properties, also ensuring private renters are living in properties that meet the Repaing and Tolerable standards and that their landlords are meeting their needs appropriately.
