I launched my consultancy The Purpose Room in 2021 after hitting a career roadblock and struggling to find my place and purpose in the industry. In this decade of reporting we have a clear ambition at The Purpose Room: to support clients on their equity & inclusion resilience journey and interlinked to that partnering with them to build a robust sustainability & ESG communications strategy. The two priority countries for us are India (where I was born) and the UK (where I live). In the past 2 decades I have counselled C-Suite of multinationals, governments, industry associations and NGOs across geographies. I have advised clients faced with regulatory, political and environmental challenges as well as those facing union and civil society activism. My expertise lies in building robust partnerships to manage complex thought leadership and crisis projects. I am a certified EDI trainer, qualified equity & inclusion champion advising clients on creating measurable frameworks for culture change and diversity in leadership. Since launching The Purpose Room in 2021, we have run(designed) programs/workshops/masterclasses for large multinationals and charities to help them build more inclusive and equitable workplaces. At The Purpose Room we are passionate about helping working women to unlock their potential and the 12 Weeks to Leadership programme is designed to support aspiring women leaders to take charge of their leadership journey. I am privileged to be the Chair of the PRCA Ethnicity & Inclusion Advisory Council(EIAC) and a founding member of PRCA Race and Ethnicity Equity Board(REEB). Last year I was nominated on the Provoke Media Innovator 25 EMEA 2021.

A career highlight

Far too many to list but setting up my own consultancy at the height of my pandemic and finding my purpose and second innings in my early 50s has been the best thing I have ever done
