I have operated as a CFO+ for over 20 years in PE owned SME’s growing businesses and positioning them for a refinancing or exit and more recently operated as a partner in a PE fund established to invest in smaller SMEs as acquisition platforms for growth. In tandem with the M&A activity, I have significant transaction project management and due diligence experience, providing support to vendors with management bandwidth constraints. I am now enjoying a portfolio career working with Boards and SLTs to grow businesses both organically and through acquisitions. Taking a holistic approach to value creation, looking at valuation multiple drivers, beyond just financial performance, to create and execute strategic plans which result in high performing sustainable businesses. I have a strong background in sport and use similar team-based principles when working with Boards and SLT’s to help performance improvement – sometimes with the big wins and sometimes for the marginal gains that make the difference.
