Karim's professional bio / interests

Karim is a Partner at Lexlaw and practises as a Solicitor and Mediator in complex litigation matters. He has extensive experience acting for clients in high-value litigation against banks, tax disputes (including voluntary disclosure, appeals and judicial reviews), professional negligence claims, company and partnership disputes, costs, debt recovery, insolvency, property litigation, construction disputes, enforcement, business interruption insurance and drafting commercial contracts. Karim holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from City, University of London and LPC LLM from the University of Law. He plays an important role at the firm mentoring junior colleagues on a similar path and has become a Training Principal. Karim is authorised by the SRA as the firm's COLP, COFA and MLRO. Karim was nominated for the Law Society - Young Lawyer of the Year 2018. Karim regularly advocates in matters in the County Court, High Court and Senior Courts Costs Office, First-tier Tribunal (tax) including trials, appeals, detailed assessment hearings, costs and case management hearings (CCMC), interim applications and injunction hearings. Karim is currently pursuing a further Masters of Laws (LLM) and full Higher Rights of Audience qualification at the University of Law in order to qualify as a Solicitor-Advocate with rights of audience before all courts in England & Wales. Karim is also an occasional contributor for the Law Society.
