Linda‘s professional bio / interests
I've recently retired from the business world where I ran my own independent LinkedIn Training & Mentoring company for several years. I'm now devoting much of my time and energy on writing my first novel, set in Ancient Greece, something I've wanted to do for many years. I'm an avid reader, particularly long novels where I can really get to know the characters well. Part of my retirement plan is to achieve my personal goal of becoming a published author by the end of 2023. Helping children to enjoy their own reading journey through the Bookmark programme is my way of giving back to those who supported me in my early years as a reluctant reader.

A career highlight
Having my reputation as a credible and ethical LinkedIn Trainer boosted by being asked to present a seminar at a Women in Business Expo on the same stage as Karren Brady. Initially a small space was allocated to my slot and I expected approximately 60 people. On the day, there were so many people attending, they were standing in the aisles, 5 or 6 rows deep at the back and at both sides of the seminar space. It was a true highlight of my career, culminating in a Platinum business award as 'Go-To LinkedIn Trainer of the Year.
