I am a psychologist who has spent many years working in the the voluntary (mainly) and statutory sectors. I’m interested in empowering personal strength. All of us have navigated difficult times and I’d like to draw on the resilient strands that push people forward. My focus is on younger people as they do not necessarily know what their key strands are. This means they are vulnerable at critical developmental periods in their lives. I would like to build a multi disciplinary network or think tank to improve outcomes for youngsters. This is because I have seen the devastation that follows when a young life is lost. I define the word ‘lost’ in a broad sense.

Knowing other peoples key strategies around coping with adversity.

I have tried stand up comedy with limited success during the pandemic. It helped me laugh at myself, but I am not sure what the audience thought!
