Bruce‘s professional bio / interests
Bruce K. Berger, Ph.D., is professor emeritus, advertising and public relations, at the University of Alabama (UA), and founding director of The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations. His research on leadership and employee communications has been nationally recognized with IPR’s Pathfinder Award (2012) and the Jackson Jackson & Wagner Behavioral Science Prize (2013). He also received PRSA’s Educator of the Year Award in 2006. Previously, Berger was a PR executive for two global companies (The Upjohn Company and Whirlpool Corporation) for 20 years, during which he worked on projects in more than 30 countries. He lived and worked in Brussels from 1982-85.
