Onyinye‘s professional bio / interests
Onyinye K. Omenugha is a recent Law graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. She's a member of some professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) (UK), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), as well as Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), among others. Onyinye is the erstwhile Southeast Zonal Director of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) and a Millennium Fellow for the class of 2021. She garnered several leadership experiences and served in various representative capacities during her undergraduate studies. Formerly the head of Vibrant Chambers, a leading student Chamber in her school, a one-time Campus Director, Law Students Association of Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and a Judge of LAWSA High Court, UNIZIK, among others. Onyinye has to her credit several certificates from many institutions, including the prestigious Harvard University. She has also received several awards and, recognitions, such as an award of merit in 2020 as LAWSAN Campus Coordinator of the year in Nigeria, an award of merit in 2021 as the best Zonal Director in Nigeria, an award from the LAWSA Practitioners’ Council (LPC) as the Leadership icon of the year, amongst others. Onyinye is keen and champions discussions on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. She’s the team lead of LAWSANAID, an initiative providing a platform for law students and aspiring law students with disabilities. She's currently a Rise selector and Finalist, an initiative of Rhodes Trust. Onyinye has interned in several top law firms and organizations, including international law firms. She’s passionate about Law, Leadership, and Business, among others.
