As the founder of Red Setter, I feel lucky not only to be working alongside some of the most exciting design agencies in the world, but also to be leading a team of the world’s leading experts in communicating design and its impact. We’ve brought these people together over the past decade, and every day I’m proud and excited to see the impact they’re having. It’s work that I believe really matters. Design matters. Done well it can transform brands and businesses, people and societies - and a key part of doing it well is highlighting its role and what it can do. That’s what we do at Red Setter. We provide a platform, a voice, for the work, ideas and people who are making the world a better place. It’s a long way from the career I envisaged when I was a child. I always wanted to be a scientist. But maybe what I’m doing isn’t so far removed – I’m bringing together different elements, trying to find the equation that will make the whole greater than the sum of its parts. We’re still working on improving the formula; there’s so much more to do. Looking ahead, I want to play a part, alongside other agency leaders in helping to open up the design industry to young people of all diversities and backgrounds, and to inspire future creators to make our world better place through great design.
