Lizzy Steinhart
Philanthropy Advisor, LCM Family
Lizzy‘s professional bio / interests
Lizzy works in a multi family office offering strategic philanthropic advice and hand holding to clients on how best to maximise the value and outputs of charitable giving and in making social impact investments. She brokers different individual interests and skills, engagement and legacy creation with charities, social enterprises and businesses with purpose.
She believes strongly in the role of philanthropy in binding families together in their understanding of family wealth, values and succession issues. She advocates that philanthropy should not be transactional, but an important journey based on trust, relationships and caring deeply for different parts of civil society that touch our lives.
Lizzy’s career spans the breadth of the grant giving sector, having worked in private family offices, grant giving charities, lottery distributors and government.
In 2020, as part of the COVID response Lizzy was asked to join a new independent Advisory Panel to support NHS Charities Together in pivoting to a grant making organisation to enable the onward distribution of £150m+ of money raised by the public and UK corporates in response to the original ‘Captain Tom’ appeal.
In addition, Lizzy is an alumni of the Windsor Leadership Trust and is a trustee for the Francis C Scott Charitable Foundation, the largest family driven Foundation in Cumbria. She has previously served as a trustee for the Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust, the Mo Mowlam’s Charitable Trust and West London Synagogue.
