Paul‘s professional bio / interests
I am a technologist at heart ( 35+ years ) and recently left IBM. I now mentor coach and inspire teams to explore their divergers mindset. With a career selling and figuring out how tech should work I now am passionate about human centred thinking and where bias and illusion blurs the decisions we make. My approach is loosely based on a design thinking philosophy with experiences of selling, consulting, leadership and working in large enterprise and start-up incubators.
I’d like help with…
Helping leaders and teams work on challenges and opportunities using a diverse mindset approach to reframe and explore alternative paths to find sustainable answers. Whether as a mentor or coach I believe my experiences bring a diverse dimension. I aspire to be a NED.
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I have just written a book. Something that I never thought I would do. Call it post corporate blues but I did it. A book that was self-published. I can share my experiences with anyone thinking of doing the same!
I live in
GB
A career highlight
I spent 9 years on the Microsoft Partner Advisory Council. A time where I definitely punched above my weight meeting incredible people in Redmond who many remain close friends today. Dinner with Bill Gates was a highlight though it wasn't just the two of us. If I recall I was at the far end of the table but who cares! I was also interviewed by a computing magazine about the cloud paradigm shift that was being predicted and was quoted as saying 'it will never happen'. Thank god this was before social media!
