I am an EDI Intern at the University of Sunderland. My primary role requires me to support the Staff Networks and their members. I am responsible for organising and executing events, spreading awareness of EDI issues, and galvanising change across the university.

My dissertation on 'The lived experiences and perceptions of "Western" Muslim revert women, through feminist and post-colonial frameworks', was nominated for two Royal Geographical Society awards, as well as being selected as "The best dissertation on any topic related to race, ethnicity, or migration within the 2021/22 Geography cohort".
