Manaz‘s professional bio / interests
I joined Cambridge Judge Business School in September 2021. Here, I took up a brand-new role and over the past eighteen months have developed the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) function at the School. Currently, I'm leading on implementing a portfolio of engagement activities to raise awareness, understanding and capability of EDI.
I am the lead for all EDI activity at the School and my role comprises of developing strategy with a multi- stakeholder lens and coordinating EDI related change across teams and departments. This includes, facilitating the CJBS EDI Committee, managing initiatives with staff, students and alumni and reporting on progress.
Over my career, I've enabled and facilitated much needed cultural change by including all stakeholders and prioritising inclusion from leadership right through to teams and staff.
I have mainly worked in EDI positions in local government and the higher education sector. From 2015- 2021, I lived in China and worked for the British Council in Exams and language assessment. In 2021 I completed a master’s diploma in Human Resource Management and I'm CIPD qualified.

To develop an understandign of EDI from multi- dimensions and how the lack of it affects society as a whole- the bigger picture.
To achieve EDI progress by taking a contextual approach as EDI doesnt work with a 'one size fits all' appraoch

A career highlight
This years big one- within twelve months I have enabled the Executive MBA team (with specific EDI interventions) to increase the representation of women for the Sep 2023 intake to 35%. This is the highest it’s ever been and this is a sector wide issue. Having more women on Executive MBA programmes leads to more women in the pipeline for c- suite and board positions and is a big enabler for women to reach the upper echelons of an organisation
