Nicki Mooneyvale
Food Scientist & Nutrition Student, Undergraduate Food Science & Nutrition Cardiff Metropolitan University
Nicki‘s professional bio / interests
After training as a level 4 Personal trainer specialised in diabetes & obesity, I wanted to learn more about food science and how it can affect us from preconception into adult hood. My end goal is to be able to help and guide people to affordable eating that makes us healthy not sick in later years!
I’d like help with…
Communicating, and networking, especially after spending many many years struggling with imposter syndrome. Trusting myself and my knowledge to enable me to help others achieve what they feel is not achievable, whilst building my own confidence and self belief.
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I trained as an Army Combat Technician at the age of 38 and decided to return to University at 48 years old.
In the last 15 years I have been at my most physically fittest since my school years, and have been on all 3 positions on the podium four times during that period at a few different team/pair functional fitness competitions and in last 5 years completed lifeguard training....Now that was hard, I am not a natural swimmer!
I live in
GB
A career highlight
Passing out as a British Mature Female Soldier at 38 years old!
Also finding the confidence to go to University and take on BSc (Hons) Food Science & Nutrition Degree
