I studied English Literature as a BA at Oxford University and discovered the fascinating area of diplomacy during my degree, partly through all the literary works written by diplomats. I love studying languages and cultures, trying to understand people and communicating widely. Translation work is part of this.

Knowledge and skills from students who have studied international relations, law, economics et cetera - I am very curious to find out how they might analyse/assess some situations differently from me!

I am also a dog-walker, and love animals!
