Damola Ilesanmi is currently a Master Student of Project Planning and Management at the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. He has 6 Years experience in the Financial Sector and has worked with few project managers on some development projects while with Stanbic Ibtc Bank which includes (Project ITEM-64877) Request for CRA-2 Changes and (Project ITEM-65744) Update to Employment type and Occupation fields on Finacle CRM and Omniflow being the core applications in use by the bank. The CRA (Customers Risk Assessment) is a regulatory requirement of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that was logically built into the bank's core applications to risk grade customers using defined information inputted into the system at onboarding. This logic was applicable to the Standard Bank Group alone of which Stanbic IBTC bank is a member. Currently, Nigeria’s banking system operates on the first version of the Customer Risk Assessment. This version has thrown up some issues and led to occasional wrong classification of customers requiring some level of rework to rectify in the banking industry and as such an upgraded version of the CRA (CRA 2) was developed by Standard Bank and deployed across the Group. This was aimed at closing gaps of CRA 1 and which I was fully involved in the testing stage. My participation and positive contributions to the Project’s successful implementation earned me a Beyond Excellence Award by the Bank - “Excellence in Teamwork, Innovation and Managing Risk”. This Award was given to me by the Bank in acknowledging me as an excellent team player and result oriented person.
