I have over nine years post-qualification experience in a commercially-focused SME environment, following four years’ experience in both the audit and data analytics functions at PwC. I am currently Finance Director at Mind Tools, a fast-growth SaaS business owned by a Family Office. The role has a very commercial focus. Key core responsibilities include: leading our Revenue Operations and Finance teams, leading all management and statutory reporting, with a strong focus on KPIs and business performance; leading the business on budgets and re-forecasting; leading all business partnering including business cases and investment appraisal; leading acquisition and financial integration teams; developing and enforcing the financial control environment; and liaising with banks, auditors and other advisors. I have excellent analytical skills, and a key part of my role is using data to provide clarity on our financial and commercial performance to the wider board and owners. I combine that with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, partnered with a readiness to challenge ideas robustly and constructively, to perform as a highly trusted advisor to the product and commercial teams.
