Julie‘s professional bio / interests
Communications specialist with 17 years’ experience working for high-profile organisations and global events including London 2012 Games, the Royal Family and the Invictus Games. This has given me experience in creating strategic communications plans, delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects, directing large-scale media events and influencing senior-level spokespeople.
I’d like help with…
I’m currently looking for my next opportunity - I’m open to different sectors but what I’m most passionate is working on high-profile campaigns, projects or events which make a real difference to people’s lives and leave a lasting impact.
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I volunteered as an english teacher in a tiny village in Ecuador and one night they had a circus come to town. As the only foreigner in the village I was invited (read: told) to take part in the knife-throwing act as the assistant. I had to position myself against the wooden board and hope I would come away unscathed!!

GB
A career highlight
Working on the inaugural Invictus Games in 2014. We had six months to launch, plan and deliver this international sporting event for wounded, injured or sick servicemen and women and veterans. It was an unknown brand, featuring competitors that no one had heard of and we had just a few months to get the public to come and support it. These games have changed so many people’s lives since.
