I’m a storyteller, dot connector, and extroverted introvert. I've spent nearly 20 years designing internal communications programs for healthcare institutions, energy corporations, an oil and gas major, higher education, financial services, and telecommunications infrastructure companies. My background is in journalism, corporate communications, employee engagement, and change management, and I have both in-house and agency experience. In early 2023 I left the full-time corporate world to launch Flying Comma, my communications consulting business.

Recognition Reimagined (2020 IABC Gold Quill Award) I designed and delivered a new person-to-person recognition approach for the business. I led a cross-functional team of 20+ colleagues from Internal Communications, IT, HR, Finance, and Facilities to implement an automated, scalable solution that drives employee engagement and promotes a recognition-rich culture. I'm proud to have delivered on time and on budget in 11 weeks, from executive approval to launch. As part of this project, I also led the strategy and execution of an innovative comms campaign that resulted in a 140% increase in participation within the first two weeks over the company’s previous person-to-person recognition program.
