Rachel‘s professional bio / interests
Volunteered with InnovateHer in my Manchester life chapter. Have worked in tech for over 15 years, initially on "The Dark Side" (digital marketing and online advertising) and latterly in strategy and service design in Public and Third Sector. Passionate about advocating for tailored, creative tech paths for young people (e.g. girls can enjoy art and science, it's more diverse than "learn to code") and keen to help mentor/support/champion young people. Already involved with Grimm & Co in Rotherham, wondered if InnovateHer are doing anything in the area? Had hobbies before I bought a house, but love a good talk (off the Shelf, Pint of Science, Festival of Debate etc), dabble in crafts, hoping to pick up more DIY skills in 2024!
I’d like help with…

An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I'd rather this fell out of conversation, what's unusual when we're each unique? Hopeless with "two truths, one lie" too. Annoyingly transparent!
