Hi, I am a qualified solicitor and Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute and joined St John in May 2021. I was Senior Legal Counsel and Deputy Company Secretary at The Royal British Legion for over 10 years. I provided legal support across the charity whilst being the sole in-house Senior Property Solicitor and led on Corporate Governance for 14 subsidiaries. Over the years, I worked in local authority and law firms in the UK and whilst in Jamaica, law firm and in-house for the banking and commercial sectors. Since 2012 I have been a Mentor on the Law Society of England and Wales Diversity Mentorship Scheme. I use my legal and governance expertise as a volunteer within my community as Chair of a local charity, a trustee of the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship and on my church’s Board of Trustees where I chair the Governance Working Group. I am a Churchwarden and a member of the church’s Finance Committee.
