Ceri is a qualitative researcher with a background in academia and civil society. Much of her work has focused on communities and participation in the context of democracy and social change, within which she has a particular interest in the politics of knowledge. As the founder of the Centre for Deliberation at NatCen, her research is currently focused on exploring deliberation as a more normative democratic capability, to improve the quality of public opinion and support society to navigate change. She is a recognised national leader in the ongoing methodological development of deliberative research – of online methods in particular.
