Charlotte‘s professional bio / interests
Hello. My name is Dr Charlie O’Brien and I am a Counselling Psychologist in NHS and Private Practice. I am also a lecturer at the University of Manchester, RAPPS registered clinical and research supervisor. My research interests are embodied trauma and working therapeutically with vulnerable groups of individuals. I love to dance, cook, read and walk in nature my spare time.

A career highlight
I have really enjoyed presenting my research on embodied trauma at the BPS European Psychology Congress in Brighton, as well as at the Division of Counselling Psychology conference in York. A highlight was also presenting this research at the European Society of Traumatic Stress Studies' trauma and resilience conference in Belfast.
