I started in Events Management but quickly realised I had a particular passion for the ones that helped foster community. I set up and ran Campus Lates at Google Campus before joining 3beards and running Silicon Drinkabout, Don't Pitch Me Bro!, Chew The Fat and Digital Sizzle. I grew Silicon Drinkabout from 4 to over 40 cities around the world, working with incredible local community enthusiasts. I spent 2 years as a digital nomad freelancing (learning the difference between social media management and community management) and working on my own projects including LittleRed Retreats. I then joined the team at Tech Nation where I'm the Entrepreneur Engagement Manager for the South West... which means I get to support amazing tech entrepreneurs on a daily basis. At the start of lockdown I set up a virtual coffee morning to connect some of those entrepreneurs and honestly it was the highlight of my week, I loved it. I'm now on maternity leave and taking a bit of time to explore the growing industry of community building and have joined Guild to connect with fellow CM's and get geeky about community.

Running an event where 750+ members of the tech community were dressed up as Alice in Wonderland characters and were plunged into darkness in a warehouse in Shoreditch (now Second Home!)... and we just kept on partying! Amazing people from a super strong community made what could have been a disaster into an absolute highlight of my career.
