Nicola owns and runs Athena Professional a multiple award-winning learning & development consultancy. She has 20 years’ experience designing and delivering continuous learning for senior lawyers, scientists and technical specialists in the UK. Nicola “blends” learning methods including virtual classroom, work-based practice and coaching to help people adopt an open mindset and change behaviours at work. Equipping people to navigate their way through digital transformation, in particular, developing the ability to connect with allied professionals and create the shape of their future practice, has formed a key element of her work in recent years. Nicola is a former barrister and is a graduate of Balliol College, Oxford and the University of Sussex, and the Inns of Court School of Law. She is a Fellow of the Learning & Performance Institute and an experienced executive coach, an expert in-person and virtual facilitator, webinar host and speaker. She is also a qualified and experience Lumina Learning psychometrics practitioner and has studied Design Thinking techniques at the University of Oxford. Nicola is Co-Chair of the Birmingham Law Society Legal Tech Committee.
