Hi! I am a growth marketer, category builder, and community organizer who specializes in the advancement of leading-edge technologies, particularly data-centric software. My current working life is split between Cinchy (cinchy.com), the Toronto-based Dataware startup, and the Data Collaboration Alliance (datacollaboration.org), a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of data ownership and democratized IT. The DCA also operates iOWN, the Information Ownership Network (datacollaboration.org/iown) which is a combination of sandbox and toolkit for data privacy, data protection, compliance, IT, and UX professionals. Previously, I headed up growth teams in Europe, the US, and Canada for ventures backed by household name investors including Sequoia, Union Square Ventures, and Sir Richard Branson. In 2017, I founded Ask AI (askai.org) a volunteer project that supports increased awareness of Canadian artificial intelligence with a popular podcast, free events, and a helpful chatbot. I currently live in Ottawa, Canada but lived for 17 years in Central London, UK plus shorter stays in Spain, Singapore, Washington DC, New York, and Chicago.
