John Wishart has over 30 years’ international experience in executive and non-executive roles in the oil & gas; energy; technology; marine; and industrial sectors. His experience evidences a successful track record in business growth, driving operational excellence, performance improvement, project delivery, innovation, change management and building effective teams. Until recently John was the COO for Foresight Group International Ltd., a privately-owned company with drilling, shipping, branded retail, hospitality and ports & gas infrastructure businesses. He is now a non-executive director for Foresight. Prior to joining the Foresight Group, John was the Group Energy Director at Lloyds Register where he implemented strategies that doubled the size of global technical assurance and advisory services business. John was the Group MD of Noble Denton (a leading marine advisory and assurance company) from 2008 guiding the organisation through a merger with Germanischer Lloyd (GL). Following the merger, he became President of GL Noble Denton where he integrated multiple heritage oil and gas businesses and established the organisation’s growth strategy. John spent 10 years in Houston with Technip following their acquisition of Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants (which he helped start, grow and position for the exit event). During that time, he progressed through leadership roles in the offshore and deep-water engineering businesses to become the President and CEO of Technip America’s where he led Technip’s $1.3 bn regional E&C business. John has extensive international and domestic experience in the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry. He has held a wide range of leadership positions across the consulting, contracting and operator organisations including John Brown E&C, BP, Lasmo and Genesis. John’s board experience includes: Non-Executive Director for Gulf Island Fabricators Inc. (a US Stock Exchange listed fabrication Company); Director on the board of Junior Achievement (a professional community service organisation dedicated to educating students for the workplace); Non-Executive Chairman of the Industry Technology Facilitator (a member based organisation owned by leading operators and service companies to facilitate innovation and development of technology); Non-Executive Chairman of Crondall Energy (a leading independent energy consultancy providing strategic, commercial and technical services for renewable energy and offshore oil and gas projects that use floating production and subsea technologies); and, supporting an AIM listed company grow a business delivering effective emission reduction pathways for shipping using existing bunkers and bio-fuels.
