Zahra Ash-Harper
Creative Director for Inclusion, Independant
Zahra‘s professional bio / interests
Zahra Ash-Harper is a Creative Producer focused on inclusion in the arts. With 10 years experience in the arts and communications sector, she brings an energetic and hopeful approach to thinking about our collective futures, believing a more equitable futuring process can deliver a more equitable future. Whilst working at the University of Arts London and within the fashion industry, Zahra learned of the institutional void for social technology mechanisms which could deliver better inclusion and equity to the culture sector. Moving her practice to Bristol, and working for Pervasive Media Studio within Watershed, Zahra had a focus on providing practical and pastoral support for creative residents, designing and delivering interactions, programmes and events which brought new people into the Studio and inducted long term residents into an evolving culture. She then moved on to be Inclusion Producer for the Bristol and Bath Creative R&D project developing similar work on a new scale, across both cities. Now working as an independent Creative Director for inclusion, she steers, designs and delivers inclusion programmes for her communities as well as a range of creative sector clients. Her practice is focused on delivering meaningful relationships and engagements, developing thought leadership (and joy!) through playful and innovative provocations of the creative communities in the Southwest.
