Josephine‘s professional bio / interests
As an experienced mental health advocate for some of the largest charities and NHS trusts in the UK, I am passionate about mental health rights and the value of lived experience. Whether it’s strategy and planning or panel discussions and webinars I have the communication skills, knowledge and enthusiasm needed to deliver. The NHS administrative roles I have undertaken have helped to strengthen my organisational skills and given me a clear understanding of public sector structures. This has enabled me to effectively amplify the voices and experiences of young people in CAMHS hospitals. I am currently a first year undergraduate student at University College London’s world leading Institute of Education. Whilst studying towards a BA Education Studies degree, I continue to advocate for young people with mental illnesses who fall though the gaps and push for them to receive better quality education.

A career highlight
In May 2022 through my work with Mind Charity, I had a meeting with the Secretary of State for Education. I shared my experiences & made suggestions (many of which he thought highly of and took on board)!
