Whilst at Brigade HQ as Water Officer, had lots of interactions with the then British Waterways and surrounding Brigades over water supplies for firefighting and canal tunnels, some of which are quite long and very dark! Dudley Tunnel was particularly challenging to get re-opened and required some specific pre-planning.

Causing a major terrorist alert when extinguishing a shed fire caused by a lawnmower. Turned out said shed was directly above a section the Elan Aqueduct!
