Alex‘s professional bio / interests
I joined The Drum in early 2021 as head of digital publishing. My role is split between overseeing the management of three membership products and delivering a seamless digital experience for our global digital advertising clients and readers alike. A core focus in 2022 has been to set up a brand-new audience growth team, responsible for increasing readership and retention, especially in the US, a key growth territory for The Drum. Previous to joining The Drum, I worked at media publisher MBI for five years as digital publisher across a variety of titles and helped set up a suite of new information products. Before that I worked at Wilmington Plc, where I looked after two titles focused on institutional investors and headed the content teams at their film and television business titles.
