Rachel‘s professional bio / interests
My mission is to make the world of work and education work better for all of us. I'm passionate about helping everyone see their potential to contribute to positive change through increasing their confidence, and learning that anything they thought might hold them back will actually be the thing that propels us all forwards. My mantra: Anything is possible and we can ALL be leaders. I'm a qualified and experienced coach accredited at ACC level with the International Coach Federation. I have over 20 years' experience in communications, PR and marketing - agency, clientside, B2B, B2C, Not for Profit. Much of my career has been in post-16 and higher education, along with experience in financial services (banking), economic development, regional development and inward investment. I have been self employed for 12 years, growing my business to employ a team of 4 and several freelancers before deciding to focus on mentoring and coaching work following a life changing event. I would love to see more women and under-represented groups in leadership roles and even up the opportunities for part time, flexible work at board level.
I’d like help with…
Helping more organisations to benefit from better employee engagement, positive, authentic leadership, and innovation through valuing diverse perspectives - and achieve growth and impact as a result.
An interesting, or unusual fact(s) about me…
I love to joke that I have special healing powers, after meeting David Beckham one month after his infamous World Cup sending off . I placed my hand on his arm briefly, and told him "I hope everything works out for you." He replied, "thank you very much, nice to meet you." And the rest, as they say, is history.... 🤣💪🏻 🤣
