A career highlight
Offering expert guidance in sustainable natural resources management, agroforestry, and biodiversity, ensuring the establishment of viable and enduring livelihood options. Spearheading a comprehensive community development project across 113 villages, encompassing activities centered around natural resource management. This initiative lays the foundation for livelihood opportunities for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Community Development Groups (CDGs). Pioneering Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and Participatory Land Use Planning exercises, playing a pivotal role in developing a tailor-made PLUP Guideline for Nagaland. Strategizing and executing (participatory) research projects aimed at evolving best practices for bamboo nursery cultivation, bamboo plantation and upkeep, as well as innovative methods for value creation and enhancement of existing bamboo resources in the North East India region.
