Amelia‘s professional bio / interests
I am currently in my second year of study at the University of Edinburgh, and my studies cover large periods of both the disciplines of History and Politics. I have been proactive in pursuing my interests both inside and outside of University. My participation on the Edinburgh History Society Committee and ongoing commitment as an ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust has both deepened my historical knowledge and afforded me the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills. I enjoy writing in my spare time, and have been published on the 'YetAgain' website with an article on the Istanbul Convention in 2020. Recently, I have had an article printed in the 'Retrospect' x 'ResPublica' journal 'Material Dispossessions' with a piece on historical and contemporary religious claims to Temple Mount. Outside of University I have 4 years of experience in hospitality and have recently begun a new rule as a Mentor for the company 'Debate Mate', which centres on developing the communication and presentation skills of young children.
