Nia‘s professional bio / interests
I began my educational journey studying at Clark Atlanta University for Political Science at the pinnacle of protests and political unrest. Going to a historically black college allowed to me to analyze how tactics used by the state has impacted black communities since the 1950’s. I continued my analysis at the University of Georgia, which allowed my acceptance in to a 6 month program at Oxford University for Terrorism and Human Rights. That experience opened my mind to how not only domestic policy but international policy has affected how counter-terrorism measures are allowed to be preemptive and destructive. I then graduated with my bachelors in Political Science. Today, I am receiving my masters in International Relations with International Law with a dissertation that analyzes state action against African American civil rights efforts revolutionized from the past to present day.
