Cordelia‘s professional bio / interests
Cordelia has over 15 years’ experience in DEI, social research and leadership development roles. As Group DEI Lead at BT Group she supercharged DEI progress by overhauling all people networks and leading on a number of firsts: The first set of publicly disclosed DEI targets, first time DEI metrics were part of bonus scorecards, first reciprocal mentoring programme, and first ethnicity pay gap reports. Her previous roles have included developing and delivering leadership programmes for the National Grid, leading a nationwide strategic DEI review at the NSPCC; and developing DEI strategies for several corporate clients including Tesco and Clarks. A Clore Social Fellow, she has acted as an adviser to the London Metropolitan Police’s ‘Police Now’ programme and the University of Greenwich’s ‘Brighter Futures’ social mobility initiative. As Operations Director at a youth charity, she led social mobility initiatives involving 6 modern universities to provide employability support to talented young people. As Business Development Manager at the UK Online Centres (now Good Things Foundation), she managed digital inclusion programmes involving partners like Skype, the NHS and AgeUK. A trained Coach and action learning facilitator, Cordelia is also a keen social researcher, with an interest in social mobility, diversity and equity. She is an RSA Fellow, and Trustee of a multi- academy school Trust Board.
